Scope of Work

Supply and Delivery of Medical Equipment, Consumables and Medications (i.e. bandages, dressings, medical PPE, airway management equipment, medical consumables, pain relief medications etc.)

All services associated with the delivery of the scoped items (packaging, shipping and logistical activities etc) must be carried out to the applicable Australian Standard, WA Poison Permit Legislation and RTIO policies and procedures. The supplier must prove that they have full understanding and capability to comply with these standards, policies and procedures.

The supplier will be required to create, maintain and undertake necessary upgrades to a database containing the list of medical equipment, consumables and medications (ACAM Register). The ACAM Register must, at a minimum, contain the following information:

(a) Medication trade name, generic name, strength, scheduled poison class, supply dose and other relevant information (cold storage etc.)

(b) Type of Equipment/Consumables;

(c) Name and details of Equipment/Consumables;

(d) Product number of Equipment/Consumables;

(e) Rio Tinto (SAP) Material Number for all Equipment/Consumables/Medications.

Other scope requirements may include:

• Promotion of new technologies, medical equipment and innovations to the RTIO Emergency Services group medical equipment committee;

• Auditable tracking system for the movement, shipping, receipt and disposal of scheduled medications; and

• Reporting functionality on purchasing data by - site, person, product usage trends, cost, discrepant purchase lines etc.
