The Department for Child Protection (DCP) has responsibility to provide services for children and young people who are at risk of neglect or harm, and have been removed from their family home. This is a statutory requirement under the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017, and the Family and Community Services Act 1972, to promote individual, family and community welfare.
Accordingly, DCP wishes to establish three (3) separate dual placement contracts for Provision of Disability Specific Residential Care Services for six (6) young people (Clients) under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive DCP, until the oldest Client in each pair reaches 18 years of age.
Each contract will comprise a dual placement providing 24/7 disability specific care in a licensed residential facility, for two (2) suitably matched Clients.
Respondents may submit offers for any combination of the 3 available contracts, however must meet the entirety of requirement for the contract (i.e. dual placement requirement must be met).
The proposed base contract terms are for 3 years each (estimated to commence 1 October 2020), with additional options to extend each contract until each oldest Client in the placement attains 18 years of age.
