The project is located at approximately 10kms North West of Rangiora, which is 30kms north of Christchurch. The proposed watermain runs along Mount Grey Road from the intersection with Loburn Whiterock Road up to Smarts Road. This contract is made up of three sections, Mount Grey to Smarts Road watermain, Chapel Road watermain and Loburn Kowai Road watermains.

The proposed project consists of approximately 3000 metres of DN180 PE100 PN12, approximately 3000 metres of DN63 PE80 PN12, approximately 385 metres of DN63 PE80 PN16, approximately 975 metres of DN32 PE80 PN12 and approximately 1719 metres of DN25 PE80 PN12.

There are a number of road crossings which will be installed by trenchless methods, the project also consists of SV valves, Air-valves and connections.

The contractor is to supply and install all the valves, fittings, small bore pipe and all pipe welding. Hurunui District Council will supply the DN180 PE100 (15m sticks) PN12.
