Tender Details
Tender Description
Expressions of Interest are currently being sought from experienced visual artists based in the Wimmera, to develop, design and produce a mural in Horsham’s Jos Lane.
Jos Lane is located near 12 Firebrace Street Horsham, and already features an installation by Donal Molloy-Drum and students from McKenzie Creek Campus. This existing artwork is titled ‘Aerial’ and proposals for the new mural must reflect and engage with it in a meaningful way.
‘Aerial’ was installed in 2009 and features a flock of birds mid-flight above seven panels showing aerial views of the Wimmera landscape.
As the expression of interest document states, ‘Aerial’ depicts aspects of the Wimmera’s unique landscape; a raven’s eye view of the area, reflecting the ‘vast sky and plains of the Wimmera and the crispness of reflection and silhouette.’
Expressions of Interest for this opportunity must include concept images detailing the proposed artwork, the applicants resume and examples of their previous work, a copy of the applicants Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency and an outline of the proposed budget to complete the work.
The Jos Lane mural expression of interest is open for tender alongside a call-out for designs to adorn utility boxes, including NBN boxes, traffic signal boxes and power boxes across Horsham.
