Dalveen Reservoir & Pipework Construction

⁠⁠⁠Southern Downs Regional Council has identified the need to renew an existing concrete reservoir and associated pipework at Dalveen. The work, once constructed, will enable Council to continue to provide services to the existing community, as well as provide additional capabity to cater fro future population growth.

In general, the existing configuration of the Dalveen water supply features:

- three (3) equipped bores pressurising the Dalveen reticulation as well as a delivery line to the reservoir and;

- an on-ground reservoir at high point with combined inlet/outlet line, located approximately 2,100m from the bores.

The purpose of this contract is to engage a suitably qualified Contractor to undertake the construction of a new reservoir to replace existing, along with pipework modifications to suit, in accordance with relevant standards and in order to provide reliability and capacity for future population growth.

The existing reservoir shall remain in service whilst the construction of the new reservoir is in progress. The commissioning of the new reservoir over time shall ensure continuity of water supply service to the community to be maintained.
