Septic Tank Pump Out Program for Goolwa & Port Elliot 2020-2022

⁠⁠⁠Alexandrina Council invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of septic tank desludging services for the Goolwa and Port Elliot townships (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

Within each property the ownership and maintenance of the internal drains and septic tank are the responsibility of the land owner. Council facilitates the systematic pump out of the septic tanks connected to the CWMS schemes to ensure that wastewater treatment infrastructures is not compromised by a build-up of solids within the septic tanks

The current procedure is to desludge all residential tanks once every 4 years and Council owned septic tanks at set frequencies. This contract will enable Council to provide the services to the community and protect our assets, both septic tanks and the larger Water Industry assets.

It is anticipated that approximately 45 residential tanks will be required to be pumped out eachmonth with a maximum of 540 annually. In addition, there are approximately 40 Council owned tanks that require pump outs at varying frequencies.

This will be an exclusive contract to deliver the services.

The term of the contract will be 2 years with 3 x 1 year extension option/s available at the sole discretion of the Alexandrina Council
