Tender Description
Due to Cyclone Damien’s excessive rain, severe blockages has occurred to the culvert and drains in and around Brockman 2 and Nammuldi.
This has caused debris and fines to block the culverts and prevent water from flowing to the creeks. The blockage has seen water overflowing onto roads and causing washouts on berms.
This project comprises of both the design and construction of the works. The objective of the project is to significantly reduce the erosion of the foundations around the culverts and reinstate then to a stable and working manner
The Design component is to include:
- A site visit (if required)
- Clear all culverts of debris and clear drainage area of fines
- Install rip rap to reduce water velocity
- Rip rap must be at least 1500mm long, 1000mm in width and 500mm in height
- When installing rip rap a break between the rip rap must be at a minimum of 20 meters
- Reinstate berms and windrows in areas that have been damaged by water or equipment
- Reinstate material to areas that have been washed out due excessive water damage
- Install Culverts and rip rap to areas where excessive water damage has occurred
- RTIO to supply fill and culverts pipe
