AgriFutures Australia develops research development and extension (RD&E) strategic plans for each levied industry to guide its RD&E investment decisions. As part of its planning and review process, AgriFutures Australia requires an impact assessment of past investment in the kangaroo, export fodder and rice industries.
This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is seeking services to review and assess the economic impact of AgriFutures Kangaroo, Rice and Export Fodder Programs. One provider is to complete the economic impact assessments for the three industries and present them as three stand-alone reports for publication.
The aim of this project is to provide AgriFutures Australia with a rigorous cost-benefit analysis that will:
Inform industry, the community and Government about the net benefits derived from investment in AgriFutures Kangaroo, Export Fodder and Rice Programs.
Support RD&E planning and decision-making, through detailing returns on investment from past RD&E.
Signal to researchers and collaborators how research projects and research performance are evaluated by AgriFutures Australia.
Ensure good governance and transparency in the administration and management of these AgriFutures managed programs.
Individuals or organisations making a submission are required to have a general understanding of the three Australian industries and the AgriFutures programs, and to be able to complete this work within the timeframe listed below. At least one economic impact assessment must be completed prior to 31 July 2020.
