Tender Details
Tender Description
The City of Cockburn (the Principal), requires the services of an appropriately qualified, skilled and experienced Project Management Consultancy Company to provide a full suite of Project Management Services for the design and construction of the Beale Park Redevelopment project in Spearwood, Western Australia.
Beale Park is one of the City’s largest active sporting reserves and is the home of the Cockburn City Soccer Club. The site is approximately 6ha in size and has an existing clubroom building, sports field lighting, car parking and a community storage facility.
The key issues at the site are as follows:
· Age and condition of the clubroom building
· Lack of active playing field space
· Lack of parking
· Poorly lit playing fields
The redevelopment of Beale Park was identified within the Western Suburbs Sporting Precinct Study as being a priority to meet the future sport and recreation needs of the western suburbs within the City of Cockburn. The outcome of the study was the development of a high level master plan for the site.
The project is to provide an increased amount of active open space (seven senior soccer pitches), sports floodlighting across the reserve (100 lux), a new centrally located clubroom facility with six unisex change rooms, increased storage, and a new rationalised car park with 185 bays. The estimated overall cost of the project (including construction, associated works, consultants’ fees, contingencies and other associated costs with the development) has been set at $9.4 million (GST exclusive), and includes a Community Sport and Recreation Facilities Fund grant of $1M from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
The proposed Contract shall be in place for a period of three (3) years from the date of award; with Principal instigated options to extend the period for a subsequent one (1) year period and up to up to twelve (12) months after that, to a maximum of five (5) years. This Contract is expected to commence in June 2020.
