Tender Description
Tararua District Council (TDC) are looking to procure services for Tree Felling / Roadside and Dangerous Trees. They have engaged The Integral Group Limited (TIGL) to assist with this process.
There are two tranches of work included:
Tranche 1 - Provincial Growth Fund: COVID-19 response / redeployment and acceleration - State Highway 52 tree removal enabling works
This is an immediate piece of work funded by the Provincial Growth Fund for $500,000 to stimulate business in the Tararua district. As such, it is targeted at local businesses within the district affected by the COVID-19 lockdown.
Tranche 2 - Annual Plan Tree Felling
This is day to day business. It is currently on hold due to a review of TDC's budgets as a result of COVID-19. The amount of budget available will be firmed up in June 2020.
The process will be a two staged open market process:
- Registration of Interest (ROI)
- Request for Proposal (RFP)
TDC want to set up a panel of suppliers for Tranche 1. From that the best ongoing supplier/s will be selected for Tranche 2. This selection will be based on a combination of their scoring from the initial panel selection process and their performance during Tranche 1.
The panel for Tranche 1 will:
be an open panel so that further panel members could be added at a later stage if the workload required it have 3 to 4 suppliers depending on the outcome of the RFP as to how many staff we need to meet the requirements work will be allocated to the panel by TDC based on the type and locality of the work on State Highway 52 panel members can be removed for sub-standard performance
This ROI is the first formal step in the process and is intended to be of minimal effort for respondents and allow TDC to create a short list of suppliers to invite to enter the RFP process.
