Supply and Installation of New Sub-Station located at Prairiewood Leisure Centre

⁠⁠⁠Fairfield City is located 32 kilometres South-West of the Sydney Central Business District (CBD), covers an area of some 104 square kilometres, incorporating 27 suburbs and is bounded by the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Penrith, Liverpool, Cumberland, Canterbury Bankstown and Blacktown.

Council is a body politic constituted under the Local Government Act 1993 with the general functions set out in the Local Government Act and is enable to enter into contracts and arrangements of the type contemplated in this Tender. Fairfield City
Council is self-insured where it provides its own insurance to its workers instead of going through an insurance agent.
Being self-insured requires Council additional licensing requirements to ensure it maintains the high standards expected in Work, Health and Safety (WHS). Accordingly,
Council must demonstrate that its WHS systems and practices comply with the WHS legal framework including the WHS laws (WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2017).
SafeWork NSW monitors and conducts audits on self-insurers periodically throughout the Licence term supported by an audit framework in WHS and case management.

Fairfield City Council is seeking tenders from organisation(s) that have appropriate certifications, qualifications, capacity, experience and a high standard of capability who can deliver the best value for money.
Council intends to develop the proposed Stage 5 of Aquatopia. As a part of stage 5 works, FCC shall undertake the removal of the existing substation and the supply and installation of a new electrical substation, along with associated works, which is the subject of this Request For Tender.

The potential tenderer is to be accredited to the NSW Government Level 1 Service Providers for constructing distribution network assets in NSW and have class 1A, 1B, and 1C.

Council is seeking tender responses for the full requirements, no offers for part of the requirements will be considered
The site is located at the corner of Prairie Vale Rd & Moonlight Rd, Prairiewood. The site comprises of the Prairiewood Leisure Centre and previously constructed project phases of Fairfield Aquatopia
The project will require decommissioning and removal of redundant electrical assets; extinguishment of existing padmount substation and cable easements; earthworks including trenching and levelling prior to placement of new substation, pits, cables and associated items; testing and commissioning of new system and reinstatement of site.
