The Department is redeveloping the Protected Matters Search Too (PMST), a spatial self-service tool that is used by members of the public to identify the matters of national environmental significance (MNES) that occur in their area of interest (AOI).

The Department has completed user research and developed a prototype for the user interface that is contemporary, easy to use and provides enhanced analysis and reporting functionality.

The Department is seeking a supplier to develop the user interface and support its integration and testing. The user interface will be developed to comply with the Department’s architecture and to integrate smoothly with the Department’s website and associated entry points.

The outcome is to reduce complexity for business and the community by delivering easy to use functionality that supports more efficient and effective processes, and to provide improved information access for regulators who perform assessments on behalf of the Department.
