Expression of Interest for Property Valuation Services

⁠⁠⁠Council seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced valuers to provide valuation services associated with the process of determining cash contributions in-lieu of Public Open Space in the subdivision process.

Council intends to establish a panel of preferred suppliers of valuation services to be engaged on an as required basis. It is intended that this approach will enable the Council and valuers to avoid any real or perceived conflicts of interest, provide for efficient delivery of service based on availability and turnaround, ensure that services are provided consistently and in accordance with Council’s requirements.

Approximately 20 valuations are required per year. Valuations are to be completed in accordance with any relevant legislative requirements and may, when specified, require both the unimproved value and the market (improved) value in the final valuation report. The Council will at all times remain the client and any valuation disputes from 3rd parties will be managed in accordance with Council’s Public Open Space Policy (2013) and relevant legislation.

Interested valuers should submit the following:

a summary of qualification, experience; and details of any relevant professional memberships;
a statement/evidence demonstrating capacity and anticipated timeframes to deliver valuations;
a copy of a certificate of current professional indemnity insurance and the extent of cover; and
a schedule of fees.
