UNE seeks to identify primary design consultants to design an early childhood discovery space for children between the ages of 0-12 years of Age incorporating flexible meeting / teaching space for the University located at the decommissioned Boilerhouse. The interactive learning experiences will be based on STEAM experiences (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)
The Boilerhouse is to be designed in way that retains and highlights the industrial history of the building incorporating the STEAMpunk theme. The facility shall therefore be open & flexible, the activities space shall be a safe, secure and exciting environment for children and families to share experiences and time together. The building will contain learning experiences that are both internal, external and a combination of both. The building shall contain flexible spaces for teaching, conferences and meetings.
