Tender Description

Scope of Works:

Replacement of 3x 15m long 1600mm diameter HDPE pipes within a 20m wide sea wall levee at the Intakes 2 pump station at the concentrator ponds for Dampier Salt Limited in Port Hedland.

The scope includes:

  • Civil works - excavation, reinstatement of clay levee, compaction, QA/QC, supply and placement of rock for batters/slopes
  • Concreting - rebar set up, formwork, pour new concrete headwall for pipes
  • Cranage - remove old pipes, install 3 new 1600mm pipes
  • Build a temporary construction dam to manage water ingress
  • Install 3x 1600HDPE pipes including flange connections and flap gate at discharge end
  • Provide own portable office ,crib room and ablution facilities
  • Management of water ingress into work area
  • Management of work schedule around tides
  • Possible requirement for onshore piling (600mm piles to support headwall)
  • Possible requirement for structural repairs (welding) as well as minor blast and paint
  • All works, materials supplied, piping fabrication, surface treatment, welding, structural works etc. to be in accordance with RTIO / DSL Standards.

Notes:

- the 1600mm pipe and flap gates will be supplied by the company.

- The contractor will be undertaking works in a remote area, approx 45mins from Port Hedland. The Contractor must have cognisance and awareness of the associated risks and any schedule impacts.
