Tender Description
This project is to supply and install these sign boards at six locations across central Rotorua, to the supplied plans and specifications.
In 2016, there were changes to the Rotorua District Plan and Signs on Roads Bylaw 2016 resulting in tighter controls on where temporary event signage can be displayed within the District. This included requiring offsite event signage to gain a resource consent. To enable a managed approach to displaying event signage, Council wishes to provide permanent event signage boards across the district. This will enable event organisers to place event signage leading up to events, at low administrative and financial costs.
The signboards are 6.32m wide by 4.15m high. The signboards have fixing points to slot in temporary corflute panels signboards enabling event organisers to place event signage leading up to events. The Alubond will have a vinyl coat backing with a photograph, so it essentially acts as an artistic instalment when there are no event signage panels up.
Each site has the same signboard. There will be a specific photo provided for the vinyl wrapping individualised for each site.
There are two different foundation plans for the sites. Four sites will use a standard concrete footing by Bespoke (2m by 600mm). Two sites (corner Lake Rd/Ranolf St & Old Taupo Rd/Centennial Park will use the modified footing design by Sigma.
Council will provide all required land owner permit and consent approvals. There are no required building consents for the project.
