Tender Description
The Mill Managers House is a timber-framed house built in 1881 and used as the manager’s residence until 1984-85. Recent refurbishments of the Mill Manager’s House included conservation of the weatherboard cladding, structural repairs, roof insulation, new gutters and painting, as well as internal upgrades including new bathrooms, kitchen and services. These works were funded by the State Government through a Peel Development Commission Royalties for Regions grant.
Due to the current climate, the National Trust has decided to release the property on the residential market as a suitable commercial tenant has not been found, and there are serious concerns about potential vandalism if the property remains vacant. The residential lease will be sought on a short term basis, although the lease fee and period are negotiable.
An EOI for a long-term commercial lease has been postponed to later this year.
