TasRail is currently seeking submissions from suitably qualified, experienced and competent Contractors for the supply of road/Rail plant, vehicles, equipment and services as part of a regions-based track maintenance support and vegetation control services agreement.

The appointed contractors will provide resources under unit or hourly rates or through quotes for specific packages of work in support of rail corridor maintenance tasks.  

Key Points of Tender:

• AS4920 General Conditions of Contract for the Provision of Asset Maintenance and Services - good rail experience required;
• The works are to be completed in accordance with the Scope of Services;
• Web-based conference briefing session with participants on 23 April 2020;
• Contruction Industtry White Card required for all persons attending site;
• Works are planned to commence in June 2020 under a 5-year contract;

Services sought include regional supply of:

• Road/Rail excavators with attachments in support of TasRail work gangs.
• Track Protection Officers with or without Vehicles or as excavator operators.
• Road/Rail weed spraying services (boom and hand-held).
• Road/Rail vegetation services such as excavator slashers and trimmers.
• Road/Rail material layout and recovery services.
• Road/Rail corridor rubbish clean up and removal services, inclusing magnetic recovery of redundant in track rail fastenings, clips etc.
• Road/Rail support to other nominated corridor maintenance activities and Contractors;

Tenderers are to demonstrate in their submission support of Tasmanian industry and business as required by the Tasmanian Government's Buy Local Policy, including support for indigenous business and employment.
