Expressions of Interest - Grazing Licence Burrumbuttock

⁠⁠⁠Expressions of Interest are invited for a Licence over Crown Land (approx.3.95 ha) for the purpose of grazing and situated at Lot 169 DP 753730, Burrumbuttock known as Reserve 41865.

Term

The successful applicant will be permitted to graze stock for a period of 12 months commencing 1 June 2020 and terminating 31 May 2021.

Rental

Rent for this grazing licence must be paid annually. Applicants must submit an annual rental offer to support their application.

The statutory minimum rent for a grazing licence, as determined by the Crown Land Management Act 2016, is $547.80 a year inclusive of GST.

If successful, an application fee applies, as provided in the Fees and Charges on Councils website.

Rates and Other Charges

Applicants should also be aware that the licence holder will be responsible for payment any council rates applicable to the licence area. The successful applicant will be responsible for the payment of any excess water charges, as determined by Council.

Fencing

Applicants should submit their expression of interest on the basis of the property in its present state.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the fencing is maintained and kept in a stock-proof condition.

Public Liability Insurance

The successful applicant will be required to effect Public Liability Insurance for an amount not less than Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,000.00) in the joint names of the parties and furnish Council will a copy of their Certificate of Currency.

Expressions of interest should be submitted on the “Expression of Interest – Grazing Application Crown Land”  form and forwarded to reach Council by 10:00 am on Thursday 23 April 2020 in a sealed envelope marked “Expressions Of Interest – Licence Land – Burrumbuttock”.

Expressions of interest should be based on the annual rent to be offered for the right to graze stock on the land.

The highest or any expression of interest will not necessarily be accepted.
