Tender Description

Chevron Australia is seeking expressions of interest from from experienced service providers with the necessary capability, capacity and a demonstrated track-record to provide civils and underground services on Barrow Island (BWI) in support of the Jansz-Io Compression (JIC) project. The work will be executed within the Gorgon LNG plant area in a simultaneous operations environment under a strict permitting regime. The Gorgon plant is situated on BWI, an A class nature reserve with strict quarantine requirements.

The scope of work includes (but is not limited to):

  1.  Bulk excavation and earthworks (est 51,000 m3);
  2.  Installation of pre-cast and in-situ foundations (est 7,000 m3 of concrete);
  3.  Trenching, bedding and installation of high voltage cable (est 14,000m), medium voltage cable (est 6,500m) and fibre optics cable (est 10,000m);
  4.  Testing of installed cable;
  5.  Installation of carbon steel secondary containment class 1 drainage and HDPE class 2 drainage systems;
  6.  Installation of underground utilities pipework, carbon steel, HDPE and GRVE;
  7.  Backfill, compaction and reinstatement of drainage, paving and road infrastructure;
  8.  Provision and operation of crushing and screening plant;
  9.  Provision and operation of concrete batching plant; and
  10.  Procurement of pre-cast items, cement, civils bulks and rebar.
