The Queensland Government, through the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service ("TCHHS") , is seeking proposals from suitably qualified businesses to service fire equipment which is located within medical facilities and staff houses in the Torres Strait and Cape York regions.

The work will involve the servicing and maintenance of the following equipment ;

• fire indicator panels and peripherals
• fire attack systems
• special fire servcices
• passive fire systems
• emergency and exit lighting

The TCHHS anticipates entering into a 5-year contract with the successful proponent with the possibility of 2 further extensions of one year each. The TCHHS will consider a single contractor undertaking all the work, or two contractors, one doing the Torres Strait and Northern Penisular area and the other doing the balance of the Cape York region. No further fragmentation will be permitted.

PLEASE NOTE

The TCHHS will conduct a meeting of interested parties within week 3 (week ending 10/4/2020) of the 5 week tender period. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the potential impacts of Covid-19 upon the delivery of the services. Meeting details will be forwarded to all parties which have downloaded the tender documentation by the end of week 2, with the meeting to be held in Cairns with other parties able to remote in. The meeting location, time, date and conference call details will be advised. All tenderers are encouraged to particpate. Information from the meeting which is relevant to the tender process will be circulated by addendum.
