Scope of work
The existing 4M walkway is severly corroded, has been condemned and requires replacement. The walkway is located at the top of the High Grade Screen House and extends over the process bins. The replacement walkway has been partially installed and requires completion.
This proposed Scope is for the installation of the remaining walkway sections. The works will involve:
a) Removal of degraded walkway sections, beams and plates;
b) Repairs to corrosion protection coatings; and
c) Installation of new walkway structural steel, platforms, handrails, floor plate and guarding;
The works will involve online and shutdown works and may include risks such as (but not limited) to hot work, working at heights, confined space entry, hazardous paint and working around live, operating equipment.
In addition to this, the contractor may be required from time-to-time to remediate unknown structural integrity issues that may arise during the installation.
