The Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) seeks to engage a Principal Contractor to deliver for the Townsville University Hospital – Emergency Department - Paediatric Unit Alteration.

All works are to be undertaken in a live ‘24/7’ hospital environment. Due to the sensitive and complex considerations associated with undertaking construction works within a live hospital environment, only contractors that can demonstrate prior experience delivering projects of similar size and nature are encouraged to apply.

The works consist of the expansion of the existing Paediatric Unit from 7 bays to 12 bays within a live 24/4 Emergency Department in two stages. That stated, only the one lump sum price is required, incorporating both stages.

Tenderers are strongly encouraged to read Tender Details within the Invitation to Tender document to understand how to prepare their tender submission (pages 8-14).

Whilst this tender process remains active the Tenderer, its subcontractors or suppliers must not communicate with any person employed at THHS nor with THHS engaged external project design consultants in relation to the Tender. All enquiries must go through thhs.contracts@health.qld.gov.au.

A mandatory site inspection has been allocated for 11:00am on Thursday 19th March 2020. Tenderers must register their interest to attend.
