West Moreton Hospital and Health Service are seeking Optometry services, including optometric eye examinations and dispending of spectacles to prison health consumers across 5 local Correctional centres including Wolston Correctional cCntre, Brisbane Women’s Correctional centre, Borallon training and correctional centre, Arthur Gorrie Correctional centre, Helena Jones centre. The session schedule is listed below in 2. Scope & objectives.
Objectives of the service requirement/s are that the qualified Service Provider must undertake Optometry sessions to the Prison Health division within West Moreton Hospital and Health service. The sessions will be conducted at the following locations :
- Wolston Correctional Centre - 3 – 4 sessions per month
- Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre – 1-2 sessions per month
- Borallon Training and Correctional Centre - 1 session per month
- Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre – 2 days per month
- Helena Jones Centre – 1 - 1.5 hrs per month
- Additional sessions may be required due to increasing prisoner numbers and management of wait lists. It is anticipated this will not exceed an additional 3 days per month across all centres.
Deliverables for the Agreement is that services will commence on 1 July 2020.
