Summary
The Aotearoa NZ Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine seeks expressions of interests from Fellows to join in 2020.
Description
The Committee oversees training and education for Aotearoa NZ trainees and supervisors in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine.
Key responsibilities include:
- monitor and assess individual trainee progress
- confirm completion of training requirements for progression to Fellowship
- provide supervisor support
- recommend accreditation of advanced training sites or programs
- assess and confirm recognition of prior learning for trainees
- provide feedback on training program requirements, assessment, curricula and resource content
- advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians
The Committee holds 2 face-to-face meetings at the RACP Wellington office and 2 teleconference per year.
Members are appointed to the Committee for a term of 2 years, with the option to renew for a further 2 terms.
