The AFOEM Assessment Committee is seeking an enthusiastic Fellow to be the Examination Coordinator for the next Stage B practical examination.
The AFOEM Assessment Committee is responsible for administrating the written and practical examinations. The Examination Coordinator reports to the Committee.
There is 1x position open to all AFOEM Fellows.
Applications from Australian AFOEM Fellows located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide are preferred.
Key responsibilities include:
- coordinating the development of questions for the Stage B practical examinations
- coordinating materials and media associated with questions ensuring they are available on the day of the examination
- selecting available examiners
- liaising with the RACP Assessment and Selection Unit on the examination venue and recruitment of role players
- assisting with training role players for the examination
- interviewing and selecting appropriate patients for the examination
The Examination Coordinator is required to attend 3 teleconferences a year, between June and August, to develop questions for the Stage B Practical Examination.
The term of the role will be until the end of 2020 with consideration for appointment to AFOEM Assessment Committee.
