M.Bovis: Review of Sample Management
Tender ID: 414928
Tender Details
Tender Description
The National 2019 Mycoplasma bovis Plan sets out three clear goals: to eradicate M. bovis from New Zealand; to reduce the impact of the disease and the eradication programme for everyone affected; and to leave New Zealand’s biosecurity system stronger. Efficient and accurate sampling, identification of samples, sample handling, management and reporting of laboratory test results are prerequisites for achieving these goals.
MPI is seeking to contract a suitably qualified and experienced supplier to undertake a review of the management of diagnostic and surveillance samples in the M.bovis programme. This will include:
• Documenting existing processes around resourcing, tasking, collection, transport, storage, labelling, packing, permits and approvals to the laboratories and while in the laboratories;
• A comparative assessment of the performance of these activities (including costs and timelines) by the different laboratories;
• QA, QC, audit policy, data capture, flows and reporting;
• Providing context and advice on ‘what good looks like’ for processes and timelines
