Principal Contractor - Building 29 Fit-out

⁠⁠⁠You are invited to tender for Principal Contractor services for briefing, design and documentation, and contract administration and construction for the Fit-out of Building 29 at JCU Townsville Campus.

The fit-out of Building 29 is for the James Cook University College (JCUC) to relocate from their temporary location in Building 34 to Building 29. The project is to deliver the fit-out of the North wing and South wing of the building with new mechanical works, electrical and hydraulics.

The North wing fit-out will comprise of

• 4 new teaching spaces and;
• 1 spare office space,

The South wing fit-out will comprise of

• 3 new teaching spaces
• Administration office
• Principles office
• Administration room
• Consultation office
• Peer to peer space and;
• New plant room.

The project involves a new entry statement into the South wing building, ramp and a new footpath entry into the North wing. This project will be split into two separable portions, separable portion 1 will be the fit out of the North wing which has a hard practical completion date and separable portion 2 the South wing which has a proposed practical completion date. Both portions can be undertaken simultaneously, and both wings are required to be occupied for the beginning of Semester 2 teaching period (27th July 2020).
