Market Research:
Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) is seeking to understand current or emerging capability within the market to supply the following scope of services.
Provide a data management service for the RTIO-owned Instrumented Ore Cars (IOC) including but not limited to :
- manage IOC communications (3G and satellite) and GPS subscription
- manage the IOC fleet and downloading of trip data
- severity 1 reporting of track defects
- track buckling and rapid track deterioration detection
- support of IOC maintenance activities
Associated Services include railway research and development services for the following areas including but not limited to:
- rail track instrumentation;
- train performance;
- rail condition monitoring;
- rail component testing;
- failure analysis;
- wheel-rail interface;
- rail welding (FBW & PLK)
