Newman Airport is a security controlled airport owned and operated by the Principal that requires upgrades of its existing screening equipment to meet the new requirements. It will require the procurement, delivery, installation, commissioning and training of staff for screening equipment in accordance with the Department of Home Affairs Aviation Security Screening Equipment List required for a Tier 2 Airport which will comprise the following:
· Separable Portion A - Body scanner (SSc STD 2 or AIT Tier 2); and
· Separable Portion B - Multi-view X-ray Cabin Baggage and Goods with automated explosive detection (EDSCB C2 or AIT Tier 2).
The Principal is hopeful of commencing screening services using the body scanner for passengers and multi-view X-ray for cabin baggage and goods on 28th September, 2020 and exceed the directive by the Department of Home Affairs that these systems be operational by 31st December, 2020 for Tier 2 airports.
Tenderers may submit an offer for either Separable Portion A or B or for both Separable Portions.
