New Plymouth District Council is embarking on a programme to develop detailed knowledge of the existing district-wide wastewater network and to use this information for the ongoing strategic management of the system.
The Wastewater Network Modelling Project is the first stage of the programme which is the development of calibrated Infoworks ICM wastewater computer models of the entire network. This project includes the development of several guideline documents for process standardisation, asset data survey, gauging and an Inflow and Infiltration investigation programme.
New Plymouth District Council has committed to using the Infoworks modelling software platform for on-going three-waters management. Submissions to this Request for Tender (RFT) proposing to utilise other software packages are discouraged.
The purpose of the Wastewater Network Modelling Project is to:
- Produce a framework of guideline documents to provide standard processes for ongoing support of wastewater network planning
- Develop calibrated Infoworks ICM wastewater models of the district wastewater systems
- Complete a set of wastewater models to a standard suitable to inform decisions on capital and operational expenditure to support community aspirations
- Conduct Survey Asset Data Capture to support model development and improve the New Plymouth District Council GIS Asset Database
- Conduct Gauging and Inflow and Infiltration investigations to support wastewater model development and provide baseline system performance data.
