Ngongotaha and Ngapuna Sewer Renewals 2020

⁠⁠⁠The Contractor shall furnish all material, plant, temporary works, labour, and equipment required to complete:

• a. Preparation and implementation of a Quality Plan.
• b. Setting out of proposed installation works.
• c. Removal and disposal of 37 metres of existing 150mm dia gravity sewer main and one existing sewer manhole.
• d. Installation of three (3) new precast concrete manholes with associated pipe connections.
• e. Installation of new 150mm diameter gravity sewer SN16 uPVC pipe
• f. Installation of new 280OD PE100 SDR17 PE rising main.
• g. Modification works for the two existing sewer manholes.
• h. Reconnection of four (4) house sewer service connections to the newly installed gravity sewer main.
• i. Testing and commissioning of the newly installed gravity sewer pipes and rising main.
• j. Reinstate the ground areas.
• k. The supply of materials, labour, plant, tools, transport and accommodation for the proper completion of the work.
• l. Provision of "As Built" dimensions, fittings and location information to Council's records.
• m. All other work indicated, described or implied on any of the Drawings, in the General or Special Conditions of Contract, or in this Specification.
• n. The maintenance of the Works in good repair for a period of 12 months.
• o. Installation works as detailed shall include excavation of the trench, jointing & bedding pipework, installing all required fittings, anchor blocks, backfilling and compaction of the trench.

Note that the requirements for As-built Services (see paragraph 1.30) have been limited as Council has employed the services of Paul Andrews of Survey One to provide complete As-built Drawings.

The work in this Contract is situated in the two areas. One in the Ngongotaha area specifically located at Bedwardine Street which can be accessed from Ngongotaha Road and then Beaumont Road. The other area is the Ngapuna specifically located at Hamiora Place which can be accessed from Te Ngae Road.
