Tender Description
This contract is for the construction of new stormwater pipeline and a new shared cycleway and footpath in the township of Rangiora.
This contract contains 5 separable portions:
Separable Portion A Lineside Road Stormwater
A new stormwater pipeline is to be laid on Lineside Road (between Railway Road and the Pedestrian Refuge outside Morrison Cars) within the road carriageway on the east side of the road at depths up to approximately 1.5m. In addition the existing driveway culverts on the western berm are to be connected together with DN225 and DN300 RCRRJ pipes and the existing open drains backfilled and reinstated.
Separable Portion B Railway Road Stormwater
Two sections of new stormwater pipeline are to be laid on Railway Road (between the intersection with Lineside Road and 22 Railway Road) within the road carriageway and berm at depths up to approximately 1.5m.
Separable Portion C Shared Footpath
The new shared cycleway and footpath is to be constructed on the eastern side of Lineside Road, from the Railway crossing to Railway Road.
Separable Portion D Coldstream Road Stormwater Culvert Grille (Rangiora)
The existing grille on the south side of the DN1600 culvert is to be removed and a new grille, handrail and access steps constructed. The works are immediately adjacent to the Railway line within WDC owned land.
Separable Portion E Ohoka Road Stormwater Culvert Grille (Kaiapoi)
The existing grille on the south-east side of the DN450 culvert is to be removed and a new grille and gabion basket wingwall structure constructed.
