Suburban Libraries - Call for Expressions of Interest

⁠⁠⁠Whanganui District Library would like to hear from businesses or organisations interested in hosting a self-service library in their suburban premises.

Two suburban self-service libraries – Hakeke Street Library in Whanganui East and Rangiora Street Library in Castlecliff – have already opened. The suburban self-service facilities represent a new library model that has been pioneered in Whanganui.

Hakeke Street Library and the adjacent Community Centre will also celebrate their first anniversary this weekend with musical entertainment, a bouncy castle and a storytime event on Saturday, 25 January from 10.00am-1.00pm – crafts, food and secondhand books will be available to buy.
