Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and certified:Pest control vendors who are able to provide pest control services at planned, reactive and annual intervals.

Suppliers must have the capability and capacity to deliver the following:

  1. Provide a pest control service to manage insects (including white ants), arachnids, rodents and mammals (including feral domestic pets), snakes and reptiles, and birds.
  2. Perform reactive pest control services that may include such services as treating infestations, removing live or dead pests from Western Power facilities, investigating pest complaints and any other services that may be requested from time to time by Western Power.
  3. Pest control services are to be safe and humane, and where an animal native to Western Australia is involved (e.g. snakes and reptiles) must involve catching and relocating as a priority over destroying.
  4. Maintain the following preferred skills:
  • Removal and or collection of bees and beehives in and around (but not limited to) Western Power’s Assets across the SWIN (south west interconnecting Network)
  • Transport and handover facilities to allow for the relocation of bees to a Registered Beekeeper (not to take place on Western Power work sites or facilities)

The following mandatory qualifications (to be maintained over the term of the Contract)

  • Registered Beekeeper with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development or as determined by the Western Australia Apiarist Society
  • Substation Entry Level 2
  • Provide First Aid & Perform CPR
  • Network Authority Card
  • Construction Induction Card
  • Working Near Energized Distribution Equipment (PT5756-16)
  • Certified snake/reptile removalist qualification

Western Power is seeking submissions from suppliers that are able to service the full network with locations across the South West Interconnected Network.
