After Hours Telehealth Service

Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN (the PHN) is one of 31 Commonwealth funded PHNs nationwide. It is a not for profit organisation which coordinates primary and preventative health care for a region of 161,000km2, with a population of 823,985 people; stretching from Glasshouse Mountains in the south, to north of Yeppoon and west of Emerald.

The PHN is inviting Tenders from established organisations (operating from anywhere within Australia) that can provide after-hours GP consultations via a user-friendly, efficient, telehealth platform. Bids are sought from organisations that can provide telehealth services across the whole PHN region, during the hours of:

• 6:00pm to 11:00pm weekdays;
• 12:00 noon to 11:00 pm Saturdays;
• 8am to 11pm Sundays; and
• 8:00am to 11:00pm on Public Holidays.

Eligibility:
Bidders must meet the following mandatory criteria to be eligible:

• Must be an established Australian-based organisation that has GPs providing telehealth consultations within Australia.
• Must be able to provide GP telehealth services for 52 weeks per year, during the following time periods, all times are in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST);
• between the hours of 6:00pm until 11:00pm from Monday to Friday;
• Saturdays from 12noon until 11:00pm;
• Sundays from 8:00am until 11:00pm; and
• Public Holidays between 8:00am and 11:00pm.
• Must have existing, functional and technical capabilities to service the whole PHN region.
• Must be using an existing secure messaging platform to enable secure messaging to local GPs and pharmacies.
• Must have the capacity and capability to develop and implement an effective advertising campaign to promote the service to residents and visitors within the PHN region.
