Tender Description

Design and construct heavy and light vehicles facilities comprising a 3-bay heavy vehicle workshop, heavy vehicle wash bay, bulk lubricant storage and dispensing facility, heavy and light vehicle tyre change facility

Suppliers wishing to be considered must be able to demonstrate their ability to design and construct the following tasks:

  •  prepare and submit full engineering design studies and documentation, drawings and layouts for construction including facilitating design, operational hazard and risk reviews;
  •  detailed earthworks including shaping and trimming, civil and hydraulic works;
  •  form and pour in-ground reinforced concrete structures;
  •  supply and install above and below ground steel pipework,pumps, fibre opticm communication cables and low voltage electrical services;
  •  supply and install bulk lubricant tanks, pumps and control system;
  •  supply, install and reticulate compressed air system;
  •  design, supply and install structural steelwork;
  •  supply and install oily water treatment units;
  •  design, supply and install electrical distribution boards, power cables, area lightings
  •  plan and complete on site and factory pre-commissioning,commissioning and testing activities;
  •  compliance with, or demonstrate capability to comply with,statutory, Rio Tinto documentation requirements, technical and standard specifications.
  •  previous experience with major project delivery for Rio Tinto is highly desirable.
  •  previous experience in design and construct of heavy mining equipment workshop in Western Australian Pilbara region is highly desirable
