The purpose of this service is to conduct a user-centred design process to identify and communicate the complex needs and experiences of job seekers, employers and employment service providers inside and outside of the New Employment Service Trial (NEST) currently being conducted in Adelaide South, SA and Mid North Coast, NSW.

This will require an understanding of broad labour market and socio-economic contexts. The design of NEST will be an iterative process based on a thorough analysis of the users’ needs and experiences including their abilities and limitations of the policy and will influence the final policy design.
The project will have a focus on strategic policy design, not just service design, so an understanding of how design can be applied to policy making and systemic change is essential.
