Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Mine Project is seeking expressions of interest from appropriately qualified and experienced suppliers of weed management services.

Summary of Scope of Work:

Contractors are to develop and implement Weed Control Procedures applicable to species identified below. The Weed Control Procedures also need to consider identifying and suitability treating other Queensland declared weeds.

All procedures are to comply with applicable Queensland Mining Health and Safety legislation/ regulations, Australian and New Zealand Standards, Best Practice Guidelines, Safety Data Sheets (SDS’s) and any applicable manufacture instructions.

The Weed Control Procedures will include (but not be limited to):

  •  Demonstrated contractor knowledge of site specific weeds
  •  Procedures for identifying weeds within areas demarked for treatment (Stage 1 Mine development area);
  •  A list of equipment/materials/chemicals to be utilised for weed control activities;
  •  Weed control activities to be undertaken in compliance with the Weed and Pest Management Plan
  •  Measures for recording applied treatments (GIS Format) as a direct outcome of weed control activities

Identified weed infestations will be treated to control the spread of weeds and decrease the risk of weed infestation in non-infested areas. The provided weed survey information is to be used as a guide however treatment is not to be restricted to only those areas. All weed infestations discovered must be treated in accordance with the final scope of work.

The appointed contractor will conduct weed control activities in accordance with the Contractor prepared Weed Control Procedures and the Carmichael Coal Mine Project Weed and Pest Management Plan.

Example of contract deliverables with the awarded contractor required are as follows:

Development and have approved by Adani, Weed Management Procedures specific to each weed type listed in the scope of work and other declared weeds that may be encountered during the execution of the contract by the appointed contractor.

  •  Undertake field chemical treatment activities including capturing records of applied treatment (GIS format)
  •  Submission of a Weed Management Report detailing works planned and undertaken in accordance with the final scope of work.

PLEASE NOTE:

It shall be noted that this is an EOI only and the complete detailed scope of work shall be provided during the tender phase to selected EOI respondents.
