Robe Valley Sustaining Project - Design of Mine Site Laboratory

⁠⁠⁠Design a sample preparation and analytical laboratory facility and procure all analytical equipment for the laboratory

Suppliers wishing to be considered must be able to demonstrate their capability in the following:
• provide all phases of engineering design of the laboratory facility including architectural, structural steel, reinforced concrete, civil, hydraulic, electrical, communications, fire system, compressed air, ventilation and air conditioning system;
• design experience in structural reinforced or fibre reinforced concrete in-ground structures, steelwork, in-ground services, piping work, building services;
• ability to produce assembly details and shop drawings;
• understand the philosophy with regard to reliability, maintenance, operation and value engineering of a mine site laboratory;
• ability to provide innovation and efficient building methodology and to promote environmentally friendly technology;
• experience in modular building design;
• experience in producing technical specification and functional design documentations;
• familiar with facility engineering systems that can create effective, safe, and compliant laboratories.
• experience in selecting appropriate engineering criteria to meet and achieve compliance with regulatory requirements of a mine site laboratory
• ability to ensure the operational integrity of all engineering systems;
• experience in fire prevention—to detect and suppress fires, in part by limiting quantities of flammable and hazardous chemicals
• design an integrated systems providing a complete end to end sampling to analysis solution.
• produce documentation for pre-commissioning, dry & wet commissioning and testing activities in accordance with the design for the lab facility;
• able to comply with, or demonstrate capability to comply with, statutory, Rio Tinto documentation requirements, technical and standard specifications;
• previous experience with major project delivery for Rio Tinto is highly desirable;
• previous experience in design of mine site laboratories.
