Low Grade Plant Upgrade - Preliminary Design and Project Costing
Tender ID: 408076
Tender Details
Tender Description
Scope of Work
The Tom Price Low Grade Plant has been in operation for some 60 years. Given the technological advances made in that time, consideration is now being given to upgrading a number of components of the plant to improve the efficiency of separation and recovery of presently misreported Saleable Ore Product (SoP).
RTIO have identified a variety of streams within the Tailings discharges where, with minimal actions, there maybe opportunities to extract additional SoP, metallurgical testwork will be used to identify the most cost effective means of improving recoveries.
Engineering services are required to complete the prefeasibility study by undertaking preliminary flowsheet modelling, equipment sizing (including electrical capacity study), equipment layouts, structural modification studies along with cost estimation of equipment procurement, installation and commissioning costs. Detailed Schedule of Works for all phases of the project and cost versus return study shall form a critical path for the project.
Expressions of interest are being sought from suitably qualified contractors to potentially participate in a tender (RFQ) for the supply of equipment, personnel and supervision to undertake:
- review metallurgical testwork;
- determine preliminary flowsheets for the various options for SoP recovery;
- undertake preliminary high level costings of the agreed options;
- construct report laying out options and cost effectiveness and return on capital;
- undertake scope of work study to identify opportunities and constraints with existing plant to implant options;
- conscious of stake holder feedback prepare engineering scope to establish project cost to 30% accuracy; and
- report on project and justify cost summary. .
RTIO will supply proposed flowsheets as part of the tender process but depending on the results there will be a number options considered for different phases of the project.
Due to the complexity of this scope, close liaison between RTIO personnel and Engineering Services Company is to be expected to achieve the desired outcomes.
Site interactions and constructive discussion will form an integral part of this project. Site ownership and implementation of this project is paramount to its successful outcome.
