Tender Description
Torres Strait Island Regional Council is seeking submissions from a variety of suitably experienced and licenced trade persons and businesses in order to establish a Register of Prequalified Suppliers (ROPS) for the provision of trade services, not including goods and materials. The ROPS will cover all areas of building trade disciplines from repairs and maintenance, to demolition and construction for both minor and major works.
The purpose of establishing this ROPS for Trade Services is to achieve efficiencies in administrative processes associated with a high volume of trade requirements, enabling Council officers to meet operational needs by engaging suitable Trade Services directly from the ROPS.
Council may appoint any number of Suppliers under various categories to this ROPS, which may be influenced by the number and quality of Submissions received and expected demand for the services.
The scope of the ROPS provides for the provision of 52 categories of trade services. Respondents may lodge a Submision for one, any or all relevant categories as applicable.
The categories are intended to be broad and non-specific, so that businesses of any size or level may submit a response based on their capacity and capability.
Respondents must have the appropriate experience, licences and certificates where relevant for provision of trade services as specified in the Specification. The listed minimum requirements are not exhaustive and other licences or requirements may be required for certain works or due to legislative or procedural changes.
Appointment to the ROPS does not obligate Council to engage any Supplier and does not guarantee any work to the appointed Suppliers.
