Te Ahu To Te Hiku Shared Path Connection

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited for the above contract, located at:

• From the bank behind the Te Ahu Centre Carpark along the Awanui River, along South Road, terminating at the Te Hiku Sports Hub.

The works consist of constructing a 2.2 m wide concrete footpath from the termination of the current gravel Walking Track along to Church Road where the existing footpath will be replaced in front of the Te Ahu Centre. Along the side of the Te Ahu Centre next to South Road where there is an existing footpath of approximately 1.4m this will be widened to 2.2m. Where the existing footpath terminates the path will be new construction to the Te Hiku Sports Hub facility where it will tie in to the existing footpath. There is a boardwalk that is being tendered at the same time. Where these works will affect the Construction of the Shared Path the successful Tenderer of the Shared Path will be expected the liaise with the successful Tenderer of the Boardwalk to ensure that works are completed as required and that there is a smooth transition from Shared Path to Boardwalk.
