Barossa Offshore Project FPSO EPCI (MODEC) - Mercury Removal Solid Bed

⁠⁠⁠The purpose of the Gas Mercury Removal System (or Gas Mercury Remove Unit, i.e., MRU) is to remove mercury from the gas stream to meet the export gas specification: Mercury Content to be less than 10 μg/Nm3.

The gas treatment system is split into 2 x 50% trains at the upstream of the Gas Mercury removal unit. Therefore, the Gas Mercury Removal System consists of two (2) x 50% trains, each with the following equipment:

•  2 x 50% Gas MRU Filter Coalescer
•  1 x 50% Gas MRU Pre-Heater
•  2 x 25% Gas Mercury Removal Bed
•  2 x 50% Gas MRU After-Filter

Expected flow rate 6000 Am3/h approx. (91 barg@ 40 deg C) The combined gas stream from the Inlet Gas Separation System (HP mode) or the LP Gas Compression System (LP mode) and the Flash Gas Compression System, is routed to the MRU Filter Coalescer to remove fine liquid droplets. The gas is then superheated in the Gas MRU Preheater in order to prevent liquid condensation in the Gas MRU Beds. The Gas MRU Beds are non-regenerative fixed beds designed to reduce the Mercury Content to less than 10 μg/Nm3. The fixed beds will be changed out every four (4) years during planned maintenance period. The Gas MRU After-Filter is provided to remove fine dust which may be carried over from the Gas MRU Beds, especially after bed change-out. The cleaned gas is then sent to the Hydrocarbon Dew pointing System.

The expected scope of work of the suppler is to supply the mercury removal solid beds and provide Process and Mechanical Specification for the entire MRU train including but not limited to HMBD, datasheets, MRU vessel over all drawing, Cause
and effect, control narrative, safe charts, instrument specifications and other basic engineering deliverables. Supplier shall also review and endorse Company produced PFD, P&ID, equipment datasheets, drawings and internal support bed drawings etc. The vessel, filters will be fabricated by others and will not be in scope of MRU bed supplier. The process guarantees are to be assumed by the supplier for the entire MRU train.

Company will purchase the equipment from others.
