The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals to engage a supplier to deliver Neighbourhood and Community Centre services to:

•  Provide a universal point of access for individuals and families to obtain support and advocacy services
•  Deliver activities and events for the local community
•  Promote social connectedness and build capacity within communities

The Community Investment Specification contributes to the following outcomes:

•  Increased ability for individuals and community groups to participate positively in their community
•  Improved access to individual support services
•  Increase public awareness of the needs and issues experienced by vulnerable Queenslanders
•  Improved liveability, resilience and cohesion in Queensland communities

The purpose of this procurement activity is to purchase a service to operate in the following SA2 catchments:

•  301031020 Wynnum
•  301031021 Wynnum West – Hemmant

This will be achieved under the Community Investment Specifications under the, Access – Community Support (T101).

•  Service type 1 - an Access – Community Support service

1.  Access – Community Support (T101), delivered under the Community Investment Specifications V3, provides for service delivery which enhances community capacity for individuals and groups, and promotes greater public awareness of social issues for people who live in a defined geographic area. The aim is to respond to identified and emergent needs of the local community, with a priority on vulnerable individuals and families.
2.  This service will be delivered for two years for the contracted price.

Important Note:

The service specified above is to be centre-based and located in one of the catchments listed above. The successful Supplier is expected to have suitable premises located within the catchment. Service delivery is expected to commence from 1 April 2020.
