Request for Tender (RFT) for Water Main replacement contract

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited by South Waikato District Council (also referred to in this RFT as "the Principal") for Water Main replacement contract.
This Request for Tender (RFT) is a single step process.

Following the evaluation of the tenders, South Waikato District Council may:

•  Attend a tendered presentation or a site visit to a tenderer's premises;
•  Conduct tender clarification or due diligence in relation to any tender;
•  Identify a preferred tenderer or a shortlist of preferred tenderers;
•  Enter into negotiations with preferred tenderer(s);
•  Award a contract to the preferred tenderer; or
•  Conclude the process with awarding any contract.

Information to be submitted by the tenderers is as stated in the General Conditions of Tendering and summarised in the Schedule to Conditions of Tendering.

The main purpose of this contract is the renewal and upgrading of Water mains on the following streets;

•  Baberton Street water main and rider main
•  Mannering Street water main
•  May Street water main
•  Braeside Avenue road crossing connection

The scope includes work such as:

• Water supply renewals comprising of varying OD PE mains, service connections, hydrants, valves, cut ins and decommissioning of existing reticulation.
• An integral part of this contract is an effective liaison with all affected parties. The construction methodology and programme needs to reflect this and minimise interference as much as possible.

• Activity Date
• Release RFT 4 December
• Site inspections/orientation (mandatory)
• RFT questions close 3 Days before closing Tenders
• RFT closes 10 January 2020
• Tenderers notified of outcome 17 January 2020
• Contract commences TBA
