Armidale Regional Council is inviting tenders for the lighting of Harris Park Field, Kirkwood Street, Armidale.
The overall objective is to install LED lighting to enable athletics clubs and football (soccer) to compete and train at night all year round.
The proposal is in two stages to allow power requirements to be confirmed in case a new transformer is required. The first stage is to erect 3 poles and lights; depending on the design; to provide 50 -100 Lux average over the northern section of the main field to enable athletics training at night.
The second stage; depending on power requirements and funding; is to erect 3 additional poles and lights to obtain 50- 100 Lux over the entire field.
