Rubbish and Recycling Contract

⁠⁠⁠RDC is seeking high quality service providers to deliver rubbish and recycling services to Ruapehu residents on behalf of Council. The following services are included in this request for Proposals (RFP) process:

• Collection services
• Household kerbside rubbish collection
• Household kerbside dry recycling collection
• Household kerbside food waste collection
• Collection of rubbish, dry recycling and food waste from key Council sites and facilities
• Dropoff and transfer facilities
• Ohura
• Ongarue
• Taumarunui
• Owhango
• National Park
• Waimarino (Transport and disposal of waste, sale of re-cyclables only
• Raetihi
• Processing
• Material recovery facility (MRF) material processing/sale of recyclable materials
• Organic (food and garden) waste processing/sale
• Class 4 Disposal
• Operation of Class 4 disposal facility
• Containers
• Container provision and delivery/service rollout
• Container maintenance and replacements Engagement
• Communications and public engagement
• responding to public enquiries.

Note: The above list of services is provided for the purposes to this RFP. The Council reserves the right to include or exclude any service or change any service configuration, in any subsequent tender process.
