Expression of Interest: Highway to Hell Truck Dressing

⁠⁠⁠Each Highway to Hell truck offers an opportunity for creative ‘set dressing’ that will transform Highway to Hell into a rolling visual feast.

We are looking for artists who think they have a great idea for ‘dressing’ one of our 8 prime movers.

Highway to Hell pays homage to the notion that from the ordinary comes greatness. We are looking for concepts that celebrate or subvert the ‘Australian Dream’ and all of its strange expressions. We’re thinking milk-carton regattas and ‘bird man’ competitions, garage gigs, street parties, Countdown or Recovery, the corner deli, community garden, sporting club or home theatre – or, whatever it means to you and your community.

Each artist or artist group selected for participation will receive $3,500 in total to develop and realise their designs. This fee should cover all labour and materials.

Who can apply?
This opportunity is open to Western Australian artists.

Artist submission requirements:

• Artist concept (including material required and timeline for delivery)
• Indicative budget: Artist labour and materials fees to a maximum of $3500
• CV and examples of previous works
