Dairy 4 Facilities Development - Provision of Effluent Management System

Massey University is embarking on a significant development of its facilities on Dairy 4, a 220 ha 600 cow high-input dairy unit. The development is part of the University’s continuing commitment to the highest quality research, teaching and commercial dairy farming.

This project also forms part of the University’s response to the rapidly changing nature of, and challenges faced by, the dairy industry e.g. the impacts of climate and environmental change, animal welfare standards, consumer preferences etc. Further, Crown Research Institute AgResearch requires access to a dairy farm in the Manawatu with appropriate on-farm facilities to enable staff undertake research. These factors have led the institutions to collaborate on what will be a shared access facility.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to procure a complete solution for an effluent management system. This is an opportunity for all the credible suppliers with established track records in effluent management system, design and equipment to respond.
